sweet tooth(s)

By now, y’all probably know what these little sweeties mean. Yup, the boy is home again.Β Zia and I were the sleepyheads who stayed home whipping up a scratch batch of chocolate cupcakes while David drove to the airport to pick up Caleb this morning.

Actually, they’re not cupcakes at all. They’re double chocolate brownies with a secret ingredient (which I might reveal at some point–depending on the reception of this batch). The frosting is made of chocolate chips, butter, sugar, and coconut milk (since I didn’t have regular milk).

Now for the real surprise–the teeth! After 4 years of braces, Caleb now has a handsome set of pearly whites. He got the braces off over Christmas break in NM. No more metallic smiles for us!

Oh, but that smile won’t be so pearly after one of these babies.

they look amazing! Both the brownies and the teeth πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to find out the secret ingredient to these brownies…I have a feeling it’s something super healthy, in which case I will need that recipe πŸ™‚

I’ve been converted! As I was munching down, I thought: these can’t be boxed, they taste too good! Then found out you didn’t use the box mix. So if these are healthy: MMMMMM-MMMMMM I’ll have another! DELISH!
