christmas at home

Our day was quiet and chill, all holed up here in our sweet cozy home. We made pancakes for breakfast and Caleb called later to tell us about his day in NM. We missed having him here–this photo was taken just before he left on Saturday.

Cash has been out of sorts lately because of his teeth coming in, but he seemed happy today.  He and Zia played all morning, and when he went to sleep this afternoon, David held him and I seized my chance to go out for a walk in the whipping wind.

Here are the adorably sleeping menfolk.

I made these little animals for Zia while she was at school last Monday and Friday. They are made of wool felt. I wrapped them and put them under the tree along with a new backpack and water bottle for school, and a few other things. She was speechless when she opened them, and has been playing with them all day.

We’re starving and are about to brave the wind to go eat something.

Hope you are having a great day–and Merry Christmas from the Rocky Mountains!

    Hi Hannah,
I drew them out on paper first, except the owl–I “winged” him (no pun intended) and just cut him from the wool. They were a fun project!
