camera calamity comforted

My camera is a Sony DSC-H5 that we bought in Switzerland 7 years ago, when the camera we brought with us broke. I’ve used it for every picture I’ve taken on this blog, and it’s been awesome, although a little clunky to carry around.

Anyway, it is on its last legs, poor thing.  I always let my kids play with it, which I’m sure is the problem.  It’s been acting a little strange, over-exposing shots, etc.  The other day Cash was taking pictures with it in the car (he loves making the flash go off) and he somehow broke the shutter button.  It popped off and the spring fell out and got lost.  When we took it to the camera shop, they weren’t sure if it was worth fixing. Boo-hoo.

But…O happy day!  I’m getting a new camera! I did some exploration at the camera shop and online, and I picked out a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS25.  It’s small and light, both fully automatic and manual, and has some really fun features to play with. We pick it up tomorrow, and I’m super excited about it.

Sweet new camera pics coming soon!
