Happy day-before-Valentine’s Day, which for us, of course, is the real Valentine’s Day–the day David and I met, twelve years ago. šŸ™‚

I have begun to love red roses this year, and it meant a lot to me when he thought to buy these for me while we were out today.

Do pardon the lovely oily hair–I’ve been experimenting with some natural oils to help my hair grow longer, and hopefully enduring this hairdo brought me a millimeter or so of growth today. Pleeeeaaase.

I am posting pics from my new iPhone 6s for the very first time. I have been happy to be a cell phone-less girl for the past several years, and I’ve never ever owned a smartphone, until now. I prided myself on being the only mama on the playground who goes screaming down the slide and swinging from the monkey bars instead of burying my nose in my phone, LOL.

But David insisted I get one, and I have to say, I love it. The camera quality alone makes me very excited (notice how each greasy hair is clearly defined?) I think I’ve actually talked on it twice–guess I’m just a visual person, haha–but I’m learning the ins and outs of photos-to-blog and all the apps that go in between, which is why it’s taken me over a week to post anything since getting my phone.

But the phone is absolutely banned from the playground.

And here is another greasy-haired mama pic, just for your viewing pleasure. I took these three photos in the car today (and dozens more), right after David gave me the roses, and I really love this one of me and my copper babies. As Zia says, “Cash’s hand looks especially nice and chubby” here.

Love the roses and their special meanings to you…..The three of you (reds) should be in a magazine…how many times do people get to see that kind of phenomenon? Funny, I was just thinking maybe I should CUT 3 inches off my hair. Maybe it’s just CABIN FEVER!!! Couldn’t be….-25 degrees this am. Some of the kids called just to see if we were all right…haha Love ya, Mimi

    Mom,
We’ll have to see which of us gives in first to the CUTTERS. I need to trim my ends, but I don’t want too much chopped, and I still haven’t found a stylist I know I can trust. So many of them are scissor-happy!

    Mimi,
Remember that family we used to ice skate with who had EIGHT redheaded kids? Now that’s a phenomenon! The mom was a redhead too (and probably the dad!) Wish you could donate your three inches of hair to me…but that might look a little funny. šŸ˜‰ And…BRRRRRRR!
