henna head

While we were in NY, I dyed my faded old strawberry locks with henna. It’s the first time I’ve ever used it, and I love the stuff – it’s fun, easy, and totally unpredictable. Just paint it on, wait a while, rinse it out, and hope for the best! (I cheated and got the already mixed kind.)  It took me 3 applications to get the color right, using varied proportions of Copper, Red, and Golden Brown. I think I finally got the color it used to be when I was a kid.

It left my hair really soft, too – much nicer than drying it out with chemical processes. I’d definitely do it again.

Zia had fun fooling around with the funny plastic caps, but the kid doesn’t need henna…obviously.
