these days

The last couple of weeks, our days have been…

  • days of drinking NORA tea with lemon and honey in the morning. NORA=Nettles, Oat straw, Red raspberry leaf, Alfalfa. I buy them in bulk and mix together. Good for pregnancy.

  • days of eating birthday pudding (while it lasted) in the afternoon. The recipe was perfect with 2/3 of the sugar and a pinch of stevia powder. I used arrowroot in place of cornstarch. Whipped cream: 1 pint organic heavy cream, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp liquid stevia.

  • days of having Caleb back with us after Spring Break

big brother+stroller=pure joy

  • days of welcome-home cake with sprinkles: now loooong gone

  • days of playing at the park

and swinging in the breeze with a friend

  • days of hanging laundry in the sunshine

and being ready to take it down again quickly

  • days of making raw sunflower-ginger crackers

and having them bypassed for the guacamole

  • days of loving the place we call home

and going wherever the road takes us.

    Hi Hannah!

For the NORA tea…equal parts nettle, oatstraw and alfalfa, but 3x as much red raspberry. I mix it all and keep it in a jar dry, then just dip out 1/2 cup and steep it for 4 hours, adding enough water for a gallon of tea. I’ll do a post on it so you can see the benefits each ingredient adds. Thanks for asking!
