cozy days of celebration

Thursday morning we awoke to over a foot of freshly fallen snow, so we took the cue and had a cozy day at home. It was such a great way to spend our 7th anniversary. Did you notice that my blog was hijacked by a bandit hacker that day?

Caleb went out and dragged in some fallen pine boughs, and we made a wreath, then the kids went out and made snow angels. I shoveled snow, which happens to be one of my favorite activities (seriously).

Our special anniversary dinner included  the Pioneer Woman’s lasagna with salad, bread, and a lemon meringue pie. The lasagna was great, but after all the dozens of lemon meringue pies I’ve made, this one was a complete flop. Oh well. He took it very graciously and said it was delish. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is precisely why I married him.

Today is another cozy day. We awoke to another load of snow and spent the day inside and out, playing, working, and eating yummy leftovers. Hope you are having some cozy days, too!
