Park weather, finally!  Yahooooooooo.

Between our regular grocery shopping duties, we spent our spare moments at parks and playgrounds over the weekend.

Because this is what our world looked like 4 days before.  We had snowstorms before, during, and after Mother’s Day.  You might say we had a rather white Mother’s Day.

It’s mostly melted now, especially once you’re off the mountain.  Saturday we went to our favorite Lakewood park to hang out and soak up some warmth.

On Sunday we were in Denver and found another great park.  It has a ton of different play areas, rock climbing walls, and a tree house.  It was very satisfying for all the kids (big ones included).

It was so great.  We even had to wear sunscreen.

Not him, of course; he never wears sunscreen.  He says it’s built into his genes, along with the instant tan.  (And all other aspects of his perfection, I might add.)

Those of us not so fortunate to have King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella as our ancestors have to be a little more careful.

Here is Zia, up at the lookout station in the tree house.

This rock held by giant hands is actually a rock climbing wall, with handholds and footholds dug into it.

At the end of the day, we went to get ice cream and then went home, tired, happy, and ready for a good night’s sleep–with every bit of snow melted clear out of our beings.  We’re not quite daring to believe that we’ve seen the last snowstorm this spring, but we’ll take every bit of sun we can until then.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, Cash and I are off to the park.

It’s been on the cool side which is perfect for me because I know the hazy, hot and humid is just around the corner. UGGHHH!! Have a beautiful day. : )

Wow, what a difference 4 days make. There is a possibility that you and I might be related by distant DISTANT relatives. Be well.

Really? Do we look alike? I have never seen a close up photo of you. That would be cool if we really are related!
