wintry days

Here in the winterland our days have been bright/clear/foggy/snowy and mostly in the single digits. Our weekend grocery shopping trip had us squeezing through mobs of orange clad just-gimme-my-Superbowl-snack madness, followed by a very low key Monday as Coloradans tried to recover from the shock of the Broncos’ complete defeat.

Not being a sports fan, it was interesting to watch from the outside and try to understand, at least a little, how a football team could cause such intense elation/severe disappointment.

But life goes on, and folks around here seem to have forgotten about it now, mostly. They still love the Broncos.

As for me, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, here’s what I love. These kids, this home, our life. And yes, I even love these cold, wintry days.

    Hi Mom,
Glad you got some moisture! Zia is a hood girl…she refuses to wear a hat. This was Cash’s first day playing in the snow (ever? at least without me carrying him around in it!) and he had so much fun. He’s just putting up with Zia pulling him in the sled–she really wanted to, but he’d rather lie in the snow and eat it. šŸ™‚

Beautiful pictures and wonderful ways to fill those winter days.

Love the last picture – lol.

    Wishing you a blessed day.

Beautiful scenes…..Of course ya can’t beat the beauty of a baby in a sled and the little workhorse pulling him! We’re getting a good amount of snow today – not like Binghamton – 12 inches!

    Mimi,
This is the first sled we’ve ever bought! The kids used cardboard boxes until now, lol. Cash fits in just perfect, all squished in with his snowsuit. Hope you have fun with your snow–it sure feels like winter here–2 below zero!

Mia, so many changes for your little family in these last months. Congratulations on everything! The house looks awesome, and I think I recognize those ridges out your window. Looks like you’ve found your sweet mountain spot. Enjoy, enjoy!
