boxes for haiti and uganda

I painted a couple more boxes for my midwife.

This one will be sent to a midwife in Haiti whose name means “sun”, so I created a sun design.

I worked in acrylic paint rather than the gouache I used last time, so the paint is durable and doesn’t need to be sealed. Although I liked the glossy look of the first box I did, I also really like the matte look here.

Here’s the next one, for a birth center in Uganda. I worked in the colors of their building, red and green.

The boxes are a lot of fun to paint. I love that they are being sent to midwives around the world!
