drawings II

Wolf (drawn to fast “wolf-ish” music)

Horse (of course)

Orca

More drawings from the resident artist. David and Caleb are elk hunting this week, so the little ones and I are car-less and camera-less, but here are some drawings I had filed from the last couple of weeks.

Our mornings are spent dabbling in the creek at the bottom of our road, playing hide-and-seek, and loving the cool/warm stretches of fall. We have a cozy fire in the woodstove in the mornings, but by afternoon, the back door is wide open.

Our boys are a little higher up in the mountains (10,000 ft), so they are tramping through a little snow. They come home at the end of each day, and we are all hoping for a bull by the end of the week. Either way, we are all getting some great outdoors time before winter sets in!

I love that she included the saddle on the horse…it’s all in the details! Hope the hunt is a great success!

Are those foot/paw prints in the first picture? Good luck to your guys! My brother got an eight point deer two weeks ago–bow season. Gun season isn’t until Thanksgiving week.. where we will be sure to get at least a couple of deer to can/freeze/dry for the year!

    Hannah,
Yes, those are wolf tracks. I had to ask her to be sure. That’s awesome your brother got a deer with a bow! Do you like deer meat?
