first mountain snow

Posted on October 8th, 2011 by mountain girl  |  5 Comments »

This is what we saw when we got up this morning. Our very first snow called for stoking up the wood stove…

and a couple of munchkins running out to play. Eating snow is always part of the experience.

Our house is so warm and cozy. We are snug and happy with the bright snow outside, the flickering fire inside, and the smell of enchiladas wafting from the kitchen.

Have an awesome day!

Oh my gosh! As much as I’m not a fan of extreme winter weather, I do love a good snow dusting. That is so beautiful!

Oh my! I thought I was going to see snow topped mountains not a snow covered yard! It is very pretty. Now, my question is do you like a lot of snow?

We got 7″ up where we live! It’s always so much fun – especially with the wood burning stove going. The quick-melting, muddy part is not so much fun. 🙂
