ballet in the park
Sunday there was a free ballet in the park. It was a great performance, and the first ballet Zia has been to. It began to rain in the middle, and after a fall the dancers took an intermission until the rain stopped and the stage could be dried.
We were thrilled with the rain. It was the slightest break in the crackling dryness this summer has already brought.
The little girls had their own ballet in the grass during intermission. I loved their performance just as much as the ballet troupe’s.
What a nice outing! I can imagine the dreaming that went on in the heads of those sweet little girls!
