bass pro shop
Last night we headed out to visit the Bass Pro Shop. Caleb and Zia made pounded leather keychains with David by the fish tank. Zia is blurry because her whole body went up and down with the hammer each time she pounded. It was hilarious.
Caleb got this kit to make homemade root beer. There are always lots of cool things here – they have huge bass and carp and catfish swimming in a big aquarium, hundreds of stuffed animals all over the walls, waterfalls, a glass elevator, rustic staircases, etc. It’s very entertaining even if you don’t come to buy anything.
Zia found this hat and gun. She’s been fascinated with guns and hunting wild animals lately.
Yes, I actually let her get one. Who knows…she just might be the next Annie Oakley!
He was playing a fishing game. Blurry, I know – but simply adorable.
Next time you’re in Colorado, ya’ll come and hang with us at the Bass Pro Shop. It’s the kind of thing we do here.

Man, I had fond memories of the Bass Pro I went to as a kid. However when I went as an adult it was not as amazing as I remembered. Not saying it wasn’t cool. But for some reason I remembered food samples… I have never seen food samples at Bass Pro since.

Wow, Cassie, I’ve never seen food at Bass Pro! But I don’t doubt they have had it – and I’ll bet it was good, too!
