wild rides in the snow

There’s a steep little hill near the top of our driveway. The kids tried out some different homemade sleds on it–cookie sheets, sheets of cardboard, and finally cardboard boxes, which were definitely the fastest.

You can’t really tell from the pictures, but they fly down the hill in those boxes. I tried going down a couple of times, with not good results. Thankfully no one snapped a picture of that hilariousness.

But I did get Caleb.

BIFFFFFFF!

Zia just watched and hooted and hollered.

Meanwhile a masked robber jumped on the motorbike and started to take off…but not before I hopped on behind him for a wild ride in the snow. If it weren’t for not wanting to abandon the kids, we might have never come back.

Growing up, our driveway was a long, steep hill, and this is precisely what we did all winter long! Cardboard really does make a super fast sled. Fun memories 🙂
