red rocks amphitheater

On Wednesday we headed to Red Rocks with our friends. It’s an incredible naturally formed amphitheater in the hills outside Lakewood.

The kids had a blast and the views were wild.

We miss these guys already. I think Zia started to think she was part of their family.

Love that rockstar.

Here’s our own steadily growing family!

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see the amphitheater. It was that certain time in the afternoon when my eyes magically start to close and my belly seems to double in weight, so I sat on a rock and waited. This is the only view I got, but I’m not complaining.

As soon as you’re able you’ve got to see a show there. We thought about going to Michael Franti a few weeks back but the idea of standing and carrying this baby belly around until late in the evening led me to make the wiser decision of staying at home with my feet rightfully propped up! Hope you had a lovely weekend!

A concert does sound fun, after baby belly days! I agree you made the right decision to stay home. Just looking at that winding ramp up to the amphitheater made my legs quiver a little! Does it get loud in there, I wonder, even in the farthest seats? (Just for future reference with little ones.)

Wow. Amazing view. I think it is awesome that you listened to your baby-body and didn’t push yourself!

It does get loud but if you’re way up then it’s not as bad. It’s not like an indoor venue. With earplugs for the littles they should be in good shape.
